Case Study – Coaching & Consulting
A German production manager is assigned to lead a subsidiary in Northern Italy for three years. While fully prepared on a professional level, he feels uncertain: “Will I be accepted? What do employees in Italy expect from management? How can I avoid missteps? Where are the similarities and differences?”
In coaching, we start by building awareness of his own identity: Which values shape him, and how was he socialized? From there, we work on understanding cultural patterns, hierarchy, trust-building, adapting communication styles, and mastering small gestures that can have a big impact in Italy.
Within the first few weeks on site, he notices a change: The team opens up, conversations become more engaging, and collaboration feels smooth.
